Here's info on buying Turkey
maps for your GPS device.
My Lonely
Planet Turkey Travel Atlas is
described here.
It's a book-style atlas.
Road maps and other maps are sold
at many shops in Istanbul,
including bookshops. I
usually wait until I arrive there to
buy maps so that I can look at a selection
and choose the one(s) I think are clearest
and easiest to use.
Of course, maps are sold in all Turkish
cities, with especially good selections
in touristic
destinations.
If you'd like to have maps before
you leave home, or you want a fold-out
travel map of Istanbul, or all
of Turkey, or some region
of Turkey, or a wall map of
Turkey, you can find it at...
Tulumba.com (US)
The "largest Turkish megastore in the USA" is
a great source for local city and place maps of Turkey—and
they'll ship them to you anywhere in the world. Use
Promotional Code HNE6408 when you order
for a chance at special offers & discounts.
They have hard-to-find
maps such as local
maps of the Aegean Region, Ankara,
Aydin & Didyma, Belek, the
Black Sea (Karadeniz), Çanakkale,
Dalyan, Denizli & Pamukkale, GAP
(Southeast Anatolia Project), Istanbul,
Izmir, Kemer, Köycegiz, Marmara
Sea, Mersin & Tarsus, Side & Manavgat,
Sile, and Troy. Here's
