Like me, Pat is an experienced
Turkey traveler, having
wandered all though this marvelous
country for years. In
fact, she fell so in love with the
country and its people that she now
lives in Göreme, Cappadocia year-round.
I first met Pat decades ago in Melbourne,
Australia, where she had volunteered
to help with the work on my ever-expanding
Lonely Planet Turkey guidebook.
We worked together as co-authors for
many years, right up to the time I
left Lonely Planet to found TurkeyTravelPlanner.com.
Pat continued as the principal
author of the Lonely
Planet Turkey guide for
several subsequent editions, but she
too finally decided to pursue her own
writing projects. For her, this meant
researching and writing her marvelous
book A
Handbook for Living in Turkey. She has also
served as researcher and writer for
Turkey's highly-regarded Little
Hotel Book.
