GSM phones for use in other
countries, including Turkey.

example, you could order a rental
phone, have it sent to your home,
and it would be all set up to operate
in
Turkey.
In principle, all you'd need to do
when you reached Turkey was to turn
it on and make and receive calls. But
every mobile phone brought into Turkey
must be registered
with the Turkish government, and registration can be

Bringing a mobile phone rented elsewhere tends
to be an expensive way
to have mobile phone service when you
travel. The rental phone must be well
insured against loss or damage, which
adds to the overall costs.

received), or just for security, consider buying
a good but inexpensive international
