Got a question
about travel to Turkey? Have
a tip to offer other
travelers? Want to describe
your trip to Turkey?
Turkey Travel Planner Forums are
the place!
Most online forums are moderated by
amateur enthusiasts, which is fine,
but TTP
Forums are better: they're moderated
by a professional with
nearly four decades' experience of
travel in Turkey.
If I don't know the answer
to your question, I'll do my best
to find it for you. (Note
that if you want extensive
trip-planning advice, the
most cost-effective way is a private
consultation by phone or email.)
By asking and answering questions
in the public forums, we'll help other
travelers plan their trips: they can
scan the forums, get answers, and really
get a sense about travel in Turkey.
You can scan and read the
messages on the Forums right away: click
here! To
post a question or reply, you'll
need to register,
which takes less than a minute:
1. At the
top of the Forum page,
click on "Register." You
will be asked to agree to the Registration
Agreement Terms, which are
quite straightforward: no "abusive,
obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful,
threatening, sexually-oriented" material,
etc., and you take responsibility
for the messages you post.
2. Choose
a Username and Password,
and fill them in on the Registration
Form which pops up after you've agreed
to the Registration Agreement Terms.
Your Username may be your real name
or a pseudonym, as you wish. You
must also enter your correct
email address, and you may
enter personal profile info
if you wish.
(The Forum program, phpBB2,
puts a "cookie" on
your computer so you don't have to
re-register everytime you login, and
to store your Forum poreferences, but
that's all it's used for. TTP doesn't
collect any data from you, doesn't
keep it, doesn't sell it, and doesn't
send [or help anyone else send] unsolicited
email ["spam''].)
3. Choose your Preferences. The
defaults are fine for most people,
so you really need not change anything.
4. Post
messages! I appreciate
your participation and will do
my best to help make it useful
and informative for you. —Tom
