Quiet Lake Retreat The tranquil town of Egirdir (formerly Egridir) clings to a hillside along the shore of placid Lake Egirdir in Turkey's lake country north of Antalya. Two islands, connected by a causeway to the mainland, extend the town far out into the lake's placid, fish-filled waters. Egirdir is a fine place to stop in the midst of your journey for a few days of quiet rest and contempation. Swimming, boating and hiking can fill a few days if you want to be active. |
