Wind,
Water, Sun and Time
The landscape of Cappadocia is volcanic,
a thick layer of volcanic ash
that has been assaulted, eroded,
dissolved and sculpted by wind
and water through the ages.
Many visitors use the word moonscape to
describe it, but in fact it's
much more dramatic and beautiful than
the landscape of the moon.
For one thing, the moon has
no wind and no water, and only
half of it gets sunshine!
Really, Cappadocia may well
be the most beautiful
place on earth for ballooning.
It's even better than being out
of this world.
