Marchin' on the Avenue I just happened to be strolling along Beyoglu's Istiklal Caddesi toward Taksim Square when I spotted this marching band coming the other way. The large building looming in the background is the Ceylan InterContinental Hotel which, as you can see, is very near Taksim, and has fabulous views in all directions (at least from its upper floors). You may not see this when you travel to Turkey, but Taksim always has some surprise.... |
