Pride of the Genoese

Built in 1348, it was named the Tower of Christ, perhaps because it was the tallest and strongest in the fortifications of the Genoese town of Galata.

It’s still an Istanbul landmark 6-1/2 centuries later.

Take the elevator to the top (yes, the tower has been renovated and modernized) for a panoramic view of Istanbul, including Beyoglu.
