Entry to the Blue Mosque, Istanbul, Turkey

Time to Dismount

I've been told that the chains looped across the upper part of the doorway are just for that: preventing anyone on horseback from entering the grounds of the mosque:

Dismount here, please.

You wouldn't want to ride toward Istanbul's Blue Mosque (Mosque of Sultan Ahmet I) in any case, because the architect designed it to be most beautiful when approached on foot.
