Night Falls on the Roman Harbor This is the latest incarnation of a port that has been here for more than two millennia. Once the harbor was filled with Roman triremes, now it's sleek yachts and Turkish gulets bound for a Blue Voyage. Antalya's muezzins chant the sunset call to prayer from the minarets, waiters in the harborfront restaurants tidy up their tables for evening diners, and the lights twinkle on in the city and all along the Turquoise Coast as evening strollers start out to enjoy the cool air and the scent of flowers. |
