Bodrum
has dozens of hotels of all shapes,
sizes and prices. I like the ones
within walking distance of
the castle, restaurants, shops and
public transport because driving
in Bodrum is simply terrible: narrow,
labyrinthine alleys clogged with
cars.

The name translates as "Preferred
Mansions."
They must be doing something right,
as they have been hosting guests
here for decades. Though on the main
street just across from the marina,
most traffic turns off before coming
