How to Find the Su Otel, Bodrum

One of the beauties of the Su Otel is that it is hidden away on a back street, out of the traffic bustle and nightclub noise of Bodrum. Although it's not difficult to get to, it can be difficult to find the first time you visit it it.

Here are detailed directions:

Walk to Su Otel from Bodrum Waterfront
Find Gerence Sokak going inland (north) from Neyzen Tevfik Caddesi, the waterfront street around Salmakis Bay (the western of Bodrum's two bays). Gerence Sokak starts between Neyzen Tevfik Caddesi Nos. 34 and 36. It's about a 10-minute walk from Neyzen Tevfik Caddesi to the Su Otel. There are small signs marking the route the entire way.

Follow Gerence Sokak, which curves around to the left, then is more direct, all the way to Turgutreis Caddesi, the narrow one-lane, one-way (eastbound) street. Turn left (west), and beware the traffic on this street as you walk, looking for small "Su Otel" signs. The entrance to 1201 Sokak, the Su Otel access path is on the left (south).

Drive to Su Otel & Park
Turgutreis Caddesi, the busy one-lane street from which you walk 30 meters (100 feet) to the Su Otel, is one-way eastbound, so upon approaching Bodrum from the highway you must drive west toward Turgutreis. At the third traffic roundabout, go almost all the way around the roundabout and enter Turgutreis Caddesi (poorly marked). You may see signs to the Mausoleum/Mozole, which is on Turgutreis Caddesi, and/or the Özel Bodrum Hastanesi (Private Bodrum Hospital).

Follow Turgutreis Caddesi for several minutes, past the Mausoleum, past Saray and Hamam sokaks (which go off to the right down to the waterfront), and past 1201 Sokak, the Su Otel access path.

About 100 meters (330 feet) past the Su Otel access path, turn left onto Davut Sokak, following signs to the Özel Bodrum Hastanesi, which is farther along Davut Sokak. The Su Otel Car Park is a short distance up Davut Sokak on the left-hand side, just past the first small street on the left. (If you get to the Özel Bodrum Hastanesi you've gone too far.) There may be a chain enclosing the parking lot. Look to see if the padlock is actually closed. If it isn't, you can drop the chain and park your car.

If not, call the Su Otel reception desk on your mobile phone (tel 0 252 316 6906) to summon Su Otel staff, or park as you can for now, and walk to the Su Otel to check in. If necessary, hotel staff will help to park your car for the night, and will help bring your luggage to the hotel or your rental villa.
