Yalıkavak has its
own superb selection of hotels apart
from those
in Bodrum proper.
To stay
in Yalıkavak is to be apart from all
the noise and bustle of Bodrum, to
be in a more sedate place.
If you want to be within walking distance
of the hottest music and dance clubs,
Bodrum is for you. If you prefer quieter
(but not completely quiet) evenings,
try Yalıkavak.
My two favorite hotels in Yalıkavak
are up the hill overlooking the sea,
with panoramic views and calm atmosphere:
Tranquillity and rejuvenation are the aims here,
and all the facilities are designed for it. Unabashedly
upscale New Age—Californian, really—you're pampered
in style. More...
Less self-conscious and more homey, the "Lavender
Hotel" (for so its name translates) is the project
of a retired Turkish-German couple who sought tranquillity
in retirement, and decided to share it with others.
Superb. More...
Should you want to be right in town at the water's
edge, the modern Elite Hotel will serve you well.
Despite its name, it is on the shore in Yalıkavak,
not Bodrum proper.
Yalıkavak has a dozen other hotels
and apartment/ flat/ suites lodgings, some right
on the sea and in the town center. Check them here:
