The beautiful hilltown of Şirince,
near Selçuk and Ephesus,
has several fine places to stay.
Now that minibuses shuttle
between
Selçuk and Şirince every
30 minutes during the day, and trains
connect Selçuk with Adnan Menderes
Airport, İzmir and Denizli (for Pamukkale),
it's no longer necessary to have your
own car in order to make
Şirince your
base for visits to Ephesus,
Kuşadası, Priene, Miletus, Didyma, İzmir
and Pamukkale.
However, a rental
car gives you the
freedom to make the best use of your
time, so if you hire one, here's how
to drive to Şirince from İzmir's
Adnan Menderes Airport.
This "Rose Mansion" is perhaps the
finest place to stay in Şirince, a
collection of restored villas, houses
and halls with artistic design and
decoration, and spectacular views. More...
The "Marquise Mansions" are restored
Şirince houses with an artist's touch,
set in a hillside location with fine
sunrise views of the village and countryside. More...
Efes
Konakları
Just below the Markiz Konakları is
the similar Efes Konakları,
opened in 2012.
The first fully comfortable lodging
in Şirince, it is also highest on the
hill, affording spectacular views,
but also a long walk up or downhill
to the village center. More...
