İncirli Ev, "the
House of the Fig Tree," is a pristine
boutique hotel on a quiet street
within walking distance of the
center of Alaçatı,
near Çeşme.
The old stone house was in poor condition
but its new owners, Ms Sabahat
and Mr Osman Poshor, restored
it to better-than-new condition using
mostly original stonework.
The house takes its name from the
century-old fig tree in
the pretty central garden. If you stay
here in August, you can pick figs right
from the tree.
In all seasons you can enjoy Osman
Bey's fruit preserves which
include a minimum 21 kinds, each made
with care to yield surprisingly
rich flavors.
Seasonal fresh fruit juices—orange,
pomegranate, grape—are another treat
served at breakfast at no additional
charge.
The guest rooms at İncirli
Ev are decorated in a chic modern style
with respect for tradition: each room
has at least one antique piece such
as a dresser or wardrobe.
All the modern
comforts such as private bathrooms,
air conditioning, and
Wifi Internet are included, of course,
as is your Turkish
breakfast with Osman
Bey's preserves. There's satellite
TV in the lounge.
When you contact Mr & Mrs Poshor
at
Incirli Ev, mention
TTP. Here's why.
