Cappadocia Cave Suites, Göreme

Mr Bora Özkök is something of a legend in Turkish travel lore, a man completely familiar with both Turkey and the USA who has brought together these two cultures through his personally guided tours for decades.

He's now taken to restoring cave accommodations in Göreme Town, and has opened them to visitors as Cappadocia Cave Suites under the capable management of Mr Ilker Horozal.

With his love of folklore, you can imagine that the decor of each room incorporates many folk and handicraft items, including many fascinating pieces that Mr Özkök may have come across during his travels throughout Turkey, on and off the beaten path.

And yet this is no simple village guest house....

The 18 guest rooms are arranged in the typical felicitous and charming chaos of Göreme Town, in and around fairy chimneys partway up the hill.

Four of the rooms are suites with living room, kitchenette, jacuzzi, and Internet connection; some rooms have fine views, but all guests enjoy the valley views from sitting areas.
