Konya's recently-renovated Hotel Selçuk is near the Alaettin Tepesi—the ancient hill at the very center of Konya—and thus near the Alaettin Mosque, Great Karatay Medrese and the Ince Minare Medrese. All are within walking distance of the hotel.

The Mevlana Museum is at the eastern end of Mevlana Caddesi, about a 15-minute walk away.

Renovated, clean and modern, the Hotel Selçuk has all the expected 3-star services, such as rooftop restaurant, elevator/lift, modern guest rooms with bath, and Wifi wireless Internet connection.

Views from the highest rooms can be surprising (see the photo at right).

No alcohol is served in the hotel, in keeping with Konya's Muslim conservative nature.
