Bus

Several companies run buses to Konya from many other Turkish cities, including Aksaray, Ankara, Antalya, Isparta & Eğirdir, Istanbul and Nevşehir (Cappadocia).

Here are estimated travel times.

It's best if you can reserve your seat a day or so in advance (ask your hotel to help you), but if not, just go to the bus station and you'll probably be on your way comfortably to Konya in an hour or two.

Train

There are currently no direct trains between Istanbul and Konya as the rail line is being upgraded for high-speed service, but there is high-speed train (Yüksek Hızlı Tren) service between Ankara and Konya, with five trains daily in each direction taking less than 2 hours to traverse the 300-km distance. (Buses take 3 to 4 hours.)
