Istanbul's Albura
Restaurant is
a great place for a romantic-couple
dinner, or even just a sightseeing-day
lunch or dinner.
Right
at the heart of Akbiyik
Caddesi, a mostly-pedestrian
street in Sultanahmet's
prime boutique
hotel, restaurant and
cafe district, Albura offers
an appealing menu of Turkish-fusion cuisine
served in sidewalk-bistro ambience. The
menu lists several classic Ottoman dishes,
but also several vegetarian, European
and Moroccan-inspired selections.
I love Turkish restaurants and Turkish
cuisine, but it's great to find a restaurant
that experiments with fusion cuisine and
stretches the boundaries of the Turkish
palate.
Paved in stone blocks and lined
with sidewalk restaurants, cafes and
bars, Akbiyik
Caddesi has become a great gathering, relaxing,
people-watching street.
Mr Bülent Yeter,
the genial co-owner of Albura,
is usually in attendance to tell you
about the restaurant, share a tale
or two, and to make sure all goes well.
