The sober dark wood-and-glass

Crusoe bookshop has been a
fixture on Istanbul's Istiklal
Caddesi, not far from Galatasaray
Square, for many years now.
In the door and to the right are the
guidebooks and stories about Istanbul and
Turkey (including Turkey:
Bright Sun, Strong Tea),
with a large selection of other titles
farther
into the shop.
You can also order books, in both
English and Turkish, from the useful Robinson
Crusoe website.
In either case, Robinson Crusoe
is a fine bookstore.
