Sabiha Gökçen Airport, on the Asian side of the city, serves some Turkish Airlines flights, the smaller, newer, lower-fare international airlines such as Corendon, easyJet, and several smaller domestic Turkish airlines. More...

If you fly into one airport, how do you get to the other?

TAXI
The simplest way is to take a taxi, but this is also the most expensive way, taking 1-1/2 to two hours and costing perhaps YTL100 to YTL150 for up to four people (but more comfortable for one, two or three).

METRO, TRAM, FERRY & BUS
You can also go by airport bus, ferry, tram and Metro in about three hours for only about YTL10 to YTL20 per person.

You'll get a mini-cruise across the Bosphorus and a tram ride through Sultanahmet, the most historic district of Istanbul, and along Divan Yolu, the ancient road to Rome, for no additional cost.

You will have to carry your luggage up and down some stairs at the Eminönü or Karaköy tram stations, but that's the only part of the trip where climbing stairs is required.
