Kapadokya Turizm, at Office 28 of the Istanbul Main Bus Terminal (Büyük Otogar), runs buses from Istanbul to Cappadocia (Avanos, Göreme, Nevsehir, Ürgüp) at 20:30 (8:30 pm) and 21:30 (9:30 pm). The journey takes 11 hours. See also Offices 18 and 24 for similar routes.

Other companies run buses from Istanbul to Aksaray (8, 29), Nigde (27), and Kayseri (34, 40, 47-48, 59, 63, 65, 66, 70, 77, 89, 143, 150) on the outskirts of Cappadocia.

Köksallar runs buses to the eastern Mediterranean cities of Erdemli, Mersin and Tarsus.
