Each Saturday morning in July and August at 08:40 am, a fast catamaran "sea bus" ferry departs Istanbul's Yenikapi Fast Ferry Terminal to speed up the Bosphorus bound for the Black Sea beach resort of Sile (SHEE-leh).

The ferry stops briefly at Sariyer, on the northern European shore of the Bosphorus, then resumes its voyage at 09:15 am, passing through the historic northern mouth of the Bosphorus and into the Black Sea, turning east, and arriving at Sile at 10:20 am.

After your day at the beach, the return ferry trip to Istanbul departs Sile at 19:00 (7 pm), departs Sariyer at 20:05 (8:05 pm), and arrives at the Yenikapi Fast Ferry Terminal at 20:50 (8:50 pm).

Remember: there is only this one fast ferry trip, and only on Saturdays in July and August.

At other times (or if you miss the fast ferry), you can get to Sile by bus from Üsküdar, on the Asian shore of the Bosphorus.
