Istanbul's Sebnem
Hotel (SHEB-nehm)
is a nice, quiet little hotel
on the eastern dead-end portion of Adliye
Sokak, so there's no through traffic
and it's pretty quiet.
All of the hotel's 15 rooms—three singles,
10 doubles, one triple, one family
room—have
central heat, air
conditioning, and direct-dial
telephones.
Of the 10 double rooms,
two have views of the garden, and
one double has
a view
of
the water. Others look onto quiet
Adliye
Sokak.
Buffet breakfast,
included in your room rate, is
served on the roof terrace with
views of the Sea
of Marmara.
The location is excellent:
just around the corner from popular Akbiyik
Caddesi, with its sidewalk cafes,
restaurants and
bars, hotels and
shops, and yet away from any noise
on that street. The Hippodrome, Blue
Mosque and other
top-level sights are less than a five-minute
stroll away.
By the way, the posh Four
Seasons Hotel Istanbul is
at the other (western) end of Adliye
Sokak. A room there will
cost you as much as five rooms at the
Sebnem Hotel!
When you contact Mr Tahir
Karabas, owner
of the Sebnem Hotel,
please mention TTP. Here's
why.
