The Turkoman Hotel has
a
perfect location: facing the Blue
Mosque a
few steps off the Hippodrome,
right next door to the Museum
of Turkish and Islamic Arts, right in the midst
of Istanbul's
top sights in Sultanahmet
(map).
The 17 guest rooms
(including one room for the disabled)
are reached by stairs on three floors,
have comfortable beds, individually-controlled
air conditioning units, cable TV, minibars,
telephones, and small private bathrooms
with showers and hair dryers.
Single rooms, doubles, triples, corner
rooms and family rooms are all available.

quiet, as traffic is restricted. The
major sound event is the call
to prayer from the Blue
Mosque, which is part
of the aural texture of Istanbul, and
shared by every hotel near the Hippodrome.
