Istanbul Holiday Apartments is
the brainchild of Ann Uysal,
an American lady who—like I—came
to Istanbul to
study Ottoman history.
She fell in love with the city and
settled down to stay.
Now she's part of the Galata
Renaissance, and has restored
two fine old apartment buildings
in Beyoglu's
historic Galata district—literally
in the shadow of Galata
Tower, as well as a fine old
building in the upscale Cihangir neighborhood
near Taksim
Square, and even on
the Bosphorus at Besiktas.
Bereket
Apartments, Galata
Four apartments, each with two bedrooms,
a living room, spacious modern eat-in
kitchen with dishwasher,
modern bathroom, separate lavatory,
and clothes washer. Apartments
3 and 4 have views of Old Istanbul
across the Golden
Horn. More...
Glorya
Apartments,
Galata
The ground-floor Garden
Studio is perfect
for a couple. The Deluxe
View Apartment has one bedroom,
but can sleep six on sofa-beds. The Duplex
View apartment is a 3-bedroom,
2-1/2-bath luxury apartment that
accommodates up to six people on
two levels, with dramatic
city views. The Penthouse
Terrace Apartment is
my favorite: plenty of
room for one or two people, it can
sleep three or four using the sofa-bed,
and has
panoramic views of Old Istanbul,
the Golden
Horn and Sea
of Marmara. More...
Aysel Apartments, Taksim Square
Four apartments sleeping up to six people
only steps from Taksim
Square and Istiklal
Caddesi, the hub of 19th-century Istanbul.
Belkis
Apartments, Cihangir
The Belkis, with five one-bedroom apartments, is
in one of Istanbul's
most fashionable up-and-coming neighborhoods,
close to Taksim
Square—a great address. More...
Diva
Apartments, Serencebey-Besiktas
Two
apartments (3 bedroom, for 6 guests;
and 1 bedroom, for 4 guests) near
the Besiktas ferry dock,
making transport to Old
Istanbul very pleasant and pretty
easy, andbetter Bosphorus view
than several posh Bosphorus
luxury hotels!. More...
