Want to escape from the
stress of travel for a few
days and just relax on a beach somewhere—in

The Renaissance
Antalya Beach Resort & Spa is

23 km (14 miles) southwest of the
city of Antalya on
the way to
Kemer, Olimpos and Phaselis

347-room hotel has 95 rooms in pretty
villas, and 57 suites,
as well as fine restaurant and
a selection of bistros:
Italian, Turkish Kebab House, Chinese,

The Beach
Club and Sport House provide
equipment and lessons for active
exploits (including
lots of water sports, of course), the
Disco and Piano
Bar for
after-hours
fun. The Cigar Lounge is
where stogie-lovers can escape to enjoy
the fragrant weed away from others.
The 950-square-meter (1136-square-yard)
Harmonia
Wellness & Spa complements
the fitness center, indoor,
outdoor and
relax
pools, and the Kids'
Club.
After a day of utter relaxation in
the sun, by the pool,
on the sand-and-pebble beach or
beneath the pines, hire a
car and head north for Antalya, Termessos,
Perge, Aspendos and Side,
or head
south for Kemer, Olimpos and Phaselis.
They're all within a comfortable drive.
With a rental
car, you can even use
the Renaissance
Antalya Beach Resort & Spa as
a base for day trips to Finike, Demre (Myra), Kaş and Kalkan.
When I first visited the Renaissance
Antalya Beach Resort years ago, I was
given a peek at the Presidential
Suite,
which is quite something, with its
conference room, servants' and guards'
quarters, etc.
You may not need a Presidential Suite,
but the smaller suites can
be just right for a family or small
group of
friends.
