Walking is
the most pleasant way to get around
Antalya, but this is a sprawling city
(maps)
and some distances are a bit far for
a walk—particularly in the summer
heat.
Taxi
Yellow taxis abound,
of course, and fares are not expensive
(usually TL7
to TL10)
for rides in and around the city center.
(For
transport
to and from the airport, there
are alternatives.) More...
City Tours
To get your bearings, you
can reserve a half-day
or full-day city tour even
before leaving home. More...
Tram
The single Antalya
Tramvay tram line connects
the Antalya
Museum, Konyaaltı
Beach,
and the Rixos
Downtown hotel
in the west, the city center at Kalekapısı, Hadrian's
Gate, Karaalioğlu
Park and the Ramada
Hotel, and approaches Lara
Plaj (Beach)
to the east. More...

Minibuses
These are the heart of Antalya's urban transport
system: minibuses which run from the city limits
right through the center to the city limits on the
other side. They run along prescribed routes—of
which there are many. To learn routes
would be confusing, but—luckily—it's
not necessary. More...
Airport Transportation
If no one is meeting you at the airport,
you have but two choices: Havaş
airport shuttle bus to the
city center, or an expensive taxi. More...
Bus Terminal (Otogar) Transportation
As the Otogar is 4 km north of
the city, a taxi can
be a bit expensive if you're on a budget. Several city
bus and minibus routes
run north to Antalya's
huge bus terminal (Otogar,
Terminal). Look for Otogar or Terminal on
the signboard. More...
Car Rental
All the big car rental companies and many smaller
ones have offices here. Don't rent a car to travel
within the city, but for excursions to nearby places,
a car can be a good way to go. More...
