The swift-flowing Köprüçay (Bridge Creek) takes its name from a Roman stone bridge—still in use—across the aptly-named Köprülü Kanyon (Bridge Canyon).

The river is favored by white-water rafters because of its relatively easy rapids (Class 1 & 2) along a scenic course downstream from the dramatic gorge.

Bridge Canyon National Park (Köprülü Kanyon Milli Park) makes a good day excursion from Antalya, Belek or Side, whether you go rafting, or hiking, or to explore the ruins of the Roman theater, city walls, and Temple of Zeus in the mountain town of Selge (Altinkaya), or just to enjoy a picnic amid the dramatic Mediterranean scenery (map).

Tour companies in Antalya, Belek and Side can arrange your excursion with transport, equipment, guides and meals, or you can just drive up in the morning and choose a rafting company to go with.
