Deniz
Cruise & Ferry Lines ("Denizline")
operated the car ferries m/v Samsun and
m/v Ankara on overnight
voyages between Istanbul's Sarayburnu (Seraglio
Point) dock and Izmir's Alsancak dock,
or the dock at Çesme,
west of Izmir, but the
car ferry no longer stops at Izmir
or Çesme.
The Denizline ferries
now cruise between Istanbul
and Bodrum. More...
So far as I know, there are currently
no ferries between Istanbul
and Izmir.
The way to make this journey is by
ferry
and train (Istanbul-Bandirma-Izmir),
by bus or by airplane.
