Ferryboats Turkey - Greece - Italy

Fast ferries speed between Istanbul's Yenikapı Feribot Terminalı and Bandırma on the south shore of the Sea of Marmara (map), connecting Istanbul with towns in the southern Marmara and northern Aegean region (map). You can take buses from Bandirma to anywhere in Aegean Turkey, and a fast train to Izmir.

The large, fast Istanbul-Bandırma catamaran car ferries (hızlı feribot) carry both cars and passengers. The voyage takes about two hours. Voyages marked "DO" are via Deniz Otobüsü, a fast catamaran "Seabus" passenger ferry that does not carry cars.

These ferries connect at Bandırma with twice-daily fast trains to/from Izmir, allowing you to travel between Istanbul and Izmir comfortably and economically in 8 hours by ferry and train. More...

You can now purchase tickets for these ferryboats in Atatürk Airport's International Arrivals Terminal from BAF Rent a Car (Tel +90 (212) 465 8767; Fax +90 (212) 465 8768, info@bafrentacar.com).

Fares are priced dynamically, like airfares, meaning that fares purchased in advance, or for less popular sailings, may be lower, and those purchased at the last minute, or for popular departures (such as on weekends and holidays), may be higher.

You can make reservations and buy your ferry tickets online, in English. Click here!

Istanbul - Bandırma ferries are operated by IDO (Istanbul Deniz Otobüsleri A Ş) whose website has an English-language section. You may not need reservations for passenger travel, but you should probably reserve space if you plan to transport a car. IDO says you can reserve your place and buy your ticket online, or call this number at any time to make a reservation and to purchase a ticket with a credit card: +90 212 444 4 436.

BANDIRMA-IZMIR EXPRESS TRAIN
