Tren (MAH-vee trehn, "Izmir
Blue Train") departs Izmir (Basmane)
at 18:55 (6:55 pm) daily and
arrives in Ankara about
14 hours

It departs Ankara at
19:00 (7:00 pm) and arrives at Basmane
Station in Izmir the
next morning at 08:49 am. Here's the

The train hauls Pullman
cars, sleeping
cars, and a dining car.
A one-way/single ticket costs
TL27.
The total fare (train fare + bed +
service charge) in a sleeping car is TL80
for a single person alone in a private
compartment, or TL60 per
person if two people share
a compartment.

Eylül Ekspresi (September
9th Express) leaving a few hours
later and hauling Pullman
cars,
a sleeping
