Several trains run between cities in southeastern Turkey and the Syrian cities of Aleppo (Halep, Halab) and Damascus (Sam, Dimashk).

Connecting trains make it possible to go all the way from Istanbul (Haydarpasa) to Damascus, reviving a route built over a century ago.

Take the Iç Anadolu Mavi Tren from Istanbul to Adana, then the Mersin-Halep (Aleppo) train to Aleppo to change for Damascus.
