Eastern Thrace, the land between Istanbul and the Greek and Bulgarian borders, is served by a few s-l-o-w trains from Istanbul's Sirkeci Station, but bus service is much faster.

Considering that there is very frequent bus service (every 15 minutes) between Istanbul and Edirne from Istanbul's Büyük Otogar, it makes little sense to go by train.
